The Challenge
This traditional terraced property in Leicester city had seen better days. The original timber bay windows were rotten, structurally unsound, and severely draughty — compromising both security and energy efficiency. The cladding on the brickwork belly between the two bay levels was also decaying, with no insulation behind it. The porch was equally neglected, featuring a leaking flat roof and deteriorating timber frames.
The clients were keen to:

Our Solution
We provided a complete transformation of the frontage, carried out efficiently over the course of one week, with minimal disruption.
New A-Rated UPVC Bay Windows
We installed modern anthracite grey uPVC bay windows, fully steel-reinforced for strength and durability. Stabilising bay jacks were added to support and secure the new structure.
Insulated & Clad Belly Panel
The cavity between the upstairs and downstairs bays was fully insulated, and new timber struts were fitted to support matching anthracite tongue and groove cladding — significantly improving thermal performance and aesthetics.
Porch Renovation with Composite Door
The entire porch was rebuilt, replacing the old flat roof with a stylish new pitched, tiled roof. A secure, contemporary composite door was installed, also in anthracite grey, tying in seamlessly with the new window design.
