Energy Rating Information
The energy saving trust states that around 20% of heat lost from an average home occurs through the windows. This heat lost accounts for an annual half tonne of CO2 per home to the atmosphere, in addition to the increased fuel bills. To maximise the benefits achieved when replacing windows the government have adopted an energy rating system similar to that used on white goods.
The Harveys windows specification already complied with the requirements by using a low “e” (emissivity) glass, together with argon filled units manufactured with a “warm edge” spacer.
